Planet Earth Explorer
Not sure why I have not seen this one before! Planet Earth Explorer is an interactive globe linked to some stunning video footage - including aerial footage of Erta Ale, sandstorms in the Sahara, the Yucatan Cenotes (is this what you were asking about the other day Anna?), and lots of impressive wildlife.

Found the Planet Earth Explorer thing when I was looking at something else on the BBC website. The cenotes clip I happened upon when I was having a look at what was on there.

Ahhh cenotes, that's what I was telling you about last week. They are also shown in Earth the Power of the Planet, I think it was in the Final episode (Rare Earth).
Are cenotes, holes in the ground, which can contain water?
Could you tell me where the cenotes clip is please?

Thankyou also for leaving a comment on my blog, I've got some footage on there now, which I filmed this morning, which you may want to look at, because I told you about it a few weeks back.
I've now decided I would like to go diving into a cenote, to see it for real, they are astonishing.
I'm off to go and revise for Geography(well want to get anyway) ;)
Regarding the cenotes in Mexico, there's an interesting link here:

It talks about the Yucatan Peninsula as you mentioned, but it talks about the cenotes making a pattern, which was actually caused by a comet.
This is also mentioned on the Earth the Power of the Planet DVD.
I've read somewhere on your blog you have the Earth DVD, does that mean you have finished with my copy of it?
