Stop Disasters Game

I haven't got very far with it so far, but the Stop Disasters game from the UN/International Strategy for Disaster Reduction comes highly recommended.

The idea is that you choose a disaster scenario - one of which is a hurricane in the Caribbean - and then you are responsible for making decisions about how to protect the community from the inevitable disaster...

Leave a comment and tell us how you get on!

I didn't do to well, I sadly killed 4 people, and then injured 50 others, in the forest fires. Oh dear, that's not to good.

Oh dear... I've only tried the hurricane one and got mad with trying to secure the boats in the harbour so gave up.

I've just had a go at the hurricane one, it's really hard like you said. I failed it, by killing 2 people and injuring about 100. I only sheltered 12 out of 350 people which isn't very good really is it. It rises your blood pressure that's for sure.
I would be no good if a disaster struck that's for sure.
